In honour of my friend Kate, today's review is on this cute little plastic jar from Kate Somerville's Nourish Daily Moisturizer. I got this as a gift but I saw it recently at Mecca Maxima and it looks like a travel size version of the product. However, I do think it is a little hefty to pay $25 for just 15 ml of product and the 50 ml size is $75. Like I said, hefty.
Let's just take a moment to appreciate the very cute cardboard packaging; it is lined with silver and 'Tiffany' blue on the outside and has an adorable interior as you can see. Everything about this adorable actually. The only thing that can be a factor to not spend $25 for a tiny moisturiser is that the tub itself is made of a very cheap plastic that will break if forced enough.
I have been using Nourish as a morning moisturiser among my morning skincare routine for about a week or so and I can detect a very (very very very) subtle balancing of my dry/combination skin. I don't know if that can be attributed to the moisturiser itself though as it is more likely the acne treatment. In terms of redness, I can see an improved change. As I am already a quarter through this product, I will say again that $25 is a little exuberant for 15 ml; you can find cheaper and possibly better at chemists or Priceline.
Rating: 2.7/5 - okay moisturiser at best.
Thank you again for the gift again, Kate! It's a 5/5 present ;D
