Today's post is going to be a little break from my recent, massive blog posts to focus on The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil. This was my first ever purchase from The Face Shop and I must say I am thoroughly enjoying it. Even if I am not entirely sure that it does anything for my skin.
I was interested in cleansing oils for a while before deciding on a "light" oil, rather than many other richer formulae. i have combination/oily skin nowadays so the light version of this oil is probably a better choice anyway. This one in particular is lovely to use after I've used makeup wipes or micellar water to remove traces of the day. It feels great, hasn't broken me out and I'm pretty sure it helps bring back some essential oils to my face.
I love the inoffensive scent and its relative affordability - approx. $18 here in Australia. I don't understand Korean but the saleslady did market this as a cleansing oil made with rice water which has beneficial properties for the skin. Of course I was a little dubious but if rice water helped keep geisha skin white and pretty for a few thousand years then who am I to not give it a chance. There is a lot of product and as I have pretty much been using this whenever I wear makeup; it has sure lasted me quite a few long months.
In all, I believe this is a great addition to my skincare routine. It might not be necessary but my skin has definitely been much better for a few months now so I would definitely be repurchasing this to keep my mind at ease.
