I love perfume, and even more when its in cute travel sized packaging. Review of my beloved carry arounds' today, with Kai and Leila Lou being so loved they get their own pictures. Enjoy! xx
Kai Perfume Oil 5/5
Praise the heavens! This little 3.6 ml bottle of divine flower essence set me back a few light-years for a while but itwassososoworthitomg. I try to limit the use of this as much as possible but sometimes just a little whiff can lift up my mood and I henceforth apply a reasonable amount to both wrists and behind my ears. The gardenia embodies the perfume, dominating against the white florals. This may be very harsh for some, but for me the dry down is creamy and crisp all at once. Marvelous and will definitely repurchase in loads when I'm on better income levels.
Leila Lou by Rosie Jane 5/5
I have a thing for white floral's done properly. Leila Lou is just as heavenly fresh as Kai with a universally lovable spin. This blend of jasmine, pear and freshly cut grass is almost so simple it is ridiculous. Yet, there is something that just keeps drawing me to Leila Lou. It is a fragrance symbolising the uplifting spring mornings in the country, where dew clings to grass blades and sun rays mosaic the shades of the pear orchard. Yeah, Leila Lou makes me happy.
MOR Perfume Oil - Belladonna 4.5/5
Easily my long time favourite and also my first perfume oil, Belladonna to me is the essence of woman. It can be complex and loud, but once calmed the creaminess is subtle and warm. I can clearly detect the musk, vanilla, cassis and narcissus notes in this oil, even with the dry down the longevity of these notes are outstanding. Kudos to you MOR. The many complements I've received wearing this heaps too.
MOR Perfume Oil - Snow Gardenia 4/5
This was my number one white floral perfume oil before Kai and Leila Lou crept into my life. However Snow Gardenia holds it's ground as it is noticeably different from the two. Obviously, gardenia shines through, followed by ylang-ylang and vanilla until finally a burst of sandalwood develops. As you can see from the slideshow this is my most used fragrance. For some reason, Snow Gardenia works much better with my skin chemistry in summer and spring compared to the colder months.
Clean Shower Fresh EDP 4/5
A lovely citrus and white floral (again) scent which I picked up on a whim. It truly does smell like I just got out of a shower and all the steam had evaporated off. I like-love this as it is fantastic for days I go to a corporate office (Mum works at a bank and I help out sometimes) without being overpowering or "young". Needs some touch ups throughout a long work day, like coffee and tea.
MOR Perfume Oil - Marshmallow 3.75/5
Probably the only sweet scent I will ever like. It smells like sugared roses and cotton candy with the slightest, smallest hint of carnation and jasmine. Cute, really, but only on days where I want to smell like a carnival sweets stand. Even then I don't apply liberally. Lasting power is commendable though, a solid 2 hrs on bare wrists.
Kissing Elixirs Love Pure Vanilla Perfume 3.5/5
I was standing at the counter at Mecca Maxima when I apotted this adorable little blue box; saw that it was a pure vanilla scent and for some reason my mind went from vanilla to don't have a vanilla scent to freshly baked cupcakes. Evidently, I bought it. I don't find myself reaching for this much, probably mostly when I go to sleep and I want to sleep comforted, will I then apply liberally to my wrists and decolletage. That's actually a pretty good word to describe this, comforting, yet as do most comforts go, Love Pure Vanilla doesn't last long.
Pacifica Perfume Roll On - Island Vanilla 3.5/5
Vanilla with a tropical twist. I like it enough as it can be flirty and fun, but still, I don't find myself reaching for it often, as with above. Can't even fathom why I have two vanilla scents let alone one.
MOR Perfume Oil - Blood Orange 3/5
Very on the fence about this. On one hand I love oranges; scent and taste. One the other, it's just orange, why did I even buy this when I don't use it? Decent enough perfume oil but possibly a little too gourmand? Sigh, too many questions, just smell it to invigorate your night, A.
Urban Rituelle Petit Parfum - Ginger Apple 2.8/5
Yet another gourmand perfume bought on a whim. It was on sale at Myer recently and I've heard many good things about Urban Rituelle, but this is just disappointing. At first, it smells like warm apple pie with ginger tea which don't get me wrong - it's one of the greatest desserts to ever exist - but I don't want to smell like a grandma's sweet oven only to later on find the stale McDonald's apple pie stench following me around everywhere. Regret, but not that much. Its alright for a Christmas stocking/room spray
Pacifica Solid Pefume - Tahitian Gardenia 1/5
By far the worst of the collective. I bought this on sale and I really enjoyed another white floral. Cut to twenty minutes later and its basically undetectable on my wrists. Frustration incurs around now. Not only that, it may be pleasantly Polynesian in the beginning, but Lord! it just becomes irritating and bleargh after a few minutes. Do. Not. Buy.
