The hardest thing about choosing perfumes is picking one from all the choices. In my many breaks perusing the lines in Myer and David Jones I came across Molton Brown eau de toilettes. For those who don't know, UK brand Molton Brown makes gorgeously scented body products that can get overpriced for everyday things that get used up very quickly like liquid hand soaps and body washes.
However, those who want to stay on budget, reconsider purchasing because these 50 ml bottles may also be over priced at $80-90 each, including box. I think I got Cool Buchu a while ago and I was given Black Pepper. I'm pretty sure these are remade from popular soaps or something, either way I recommend these for both sexes as they are very pleasant scents with very "normal" dry-downs.

First up, Recharge Black Pepper is described as warm and spicy. Both colognes are created with rich blends of etheric oils. Launched in 2007, Black pepper is a mix of: Italian coriander, Egyptian cinnamon, Italian bergamot, Nigerian ginger, Slovenian oakmoss and Indonesian patchouli.
If one takes out the supposed origins of each oil, this cologne can be considered quite common. At first, I wanted to buy Black Pepper because I thought it would be a wonderful spray to wear on a normal day, but it was not in stock at the time. Oriental and spicy fragrances have to be my favourite for winter. High expectations came for this cologne as I have smelt it in store before and it was so crisp and divine. Now though, it is quite a bit of a disappointment.
Mediocrity aside, it is actually a very nice scent that is sharp and noticeable at first, almost obviously "masculine" where the bergamot and coriander come through strongest for me. Around the two hour mark, Black Pepper mellows down quite significantly and leaves me with a light peppery patchouli scent that can only be smelt up close to the skin. The longevity is quite poor and the silage becomes very very soft and virtually undetectable after those few hours.
To sum up, while I do love the fragrance and its fantastic initial punch, I just wish it had a little more lasting power.

Cool Buchu is my favourite of the two. It basically smells like a relaxing day at home with the significant other. I recommend this as a gift to a significant other too. Clear, refreshing and relaxing tones come from the cardamon, wild mint, and tangerine with an added warm touch from cedar. This is actually quite a simple, yet effective blend; most likely aimed at a simple guy. I can see that.
Anyway, the longevity of Cool Buchu for me lasts a good four hours on bare exposed skin and around 7 hours on clothing. Impressive when compared to its brother Black Pepper. Personally I think this is great when worn with a musky scent as it can get quite acrid on extra cold days. So definitely wear this as a Spring/Summer scent when the atmosphere is balmy and the beaches are warm enough to stand in without crying from shock to really take advantage of the aromatic and woody qualities of Cool Buchu.
