Nobody does drugstore lipsticks like Revlon. This post only features about half of the Revlon lip products I own so it's quite obvious I am a fan. As of late, Melbourne has plunged into winter's icy grasp and of course that leads to my preference for darker hued lipsticks to wear out and about. Not that anything is stopping me from wearing them in the warmer seasons. Currently, I am also on search for a burgundy/dark-red-brown preferably from department brands such as Chanel or Burberry, but that can wait. Keep reading for my opinions on my most liked Revlon Lipsticks. :)
Lip Butter in Red Velvet 3.5/5
I believe this was the lippy that started my foray into Revlon Lipsticks. If you didn't already know, I am a very recent makeup user. So after much (ahem...mostly failed) attempts at finding products that would work for me, I developed a love for Revlon lip products. Red Velvet drew me because a) it's a lovely sheer shade of dark red that is buildable and striking and b) very very moisturising. While I really love the shade, whenever I deepen this colour, I have to be very careful with touching and eating with it as it can be very slippery and I can end up looking looking like a deranged clown.
Super Lustrous in Teak Rose - creme 4/5
I have already talked about Teak Rose in my post on winter products so in recap, this is a wonderful shade for me as a my-lips-but-better shade and the creme finish is just the best as it is creamy and moisturising. This is my go to lipstick when I'm busy rushing out the door.
Super Lustrous in Rum Raisin - creme 3.75/5
I really like this brick brown colour. it is a very wearable everyday lipstick that leans towards warm tones. This looks fantastic on medium skinned gals.
Super Lustrous in Black Cherry - creme 3.75/5
I looovvee this grunge violet lipstick. In the tube it looks very brown, but on the my lips it is a striking dark purple. I bought a recently released version of this where the packaging has this cool Marchesa inspired design on the outer tubing. This takes me back to Daria and skate parks, only with Black Cherry it has a tendency to skate right into my lip lines after about 2 hours.

Super Lustrous in Wine with Everything - creme 4/5
By far my favourite shade out of all these. As my lips are already pigmented, the slight stain Wine with Everything leaves after a few hours of wear makes it look like I have been drinking wine - even though I despise the taste of wine. Again, this is in the creme finish and for me it is lightly longer wearing than other Super Lustrous Lipsticks.
Super Lustrous in Cherries in the Snow - creme 3.8/5
Probably one of the only bright fuschia lipsticks I own and actually like, Cherries in the Snow is a classic, slightly more red than pink and by no means to be overlooked. This is eye catching and long lasting which I vaguely remember my grandma wearing a long time ago. She might still be wearing makeup that's 20 years too "young" for her actually. Still, she pulls it off, surprisingly.
Super Lustrous in Blushing Nude - creme 3.5/5
Most of the time I am not a fan of nude lip shades, I mean, why would you need to go through the trouble of buying skin toned lipstick when lipstick is meant to enhance your lip colour. That being said, I introduce you to Blushing Nude which is a nude lipstick (obviously)which is a tad less in pink undertones than its nude cousin Rum Raisin. This is also the most drying out of all my Super Lustrous lipsticks for some reason.
Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya 3.5/5
This is the one I use whenever I don't want to wear lipstick. Redundancy in usage aside, it is actually one of my most used orange based lipsticks. The pigmentation is very sheer and is actually able to make my lips very bright, but not overly bright. Just right bright.....
