I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately, there were a few issues with my laptop and I am not entirely a fan of Weebly's new layouts. Anyways, onwards with today's Lipstick Lockdown.
The last time I posted a Lipstick Lockdown, I thought I was typing up the second last one. However, I decided I'll keep this series going in order to talk about...lipstick. So whenever I want to talk about a bunch of lipsticks - for example talk about some 90's lip colours etc - I'll be labeling the post as Lipstick Lockdown.
Today's focus is my favourite - berry lips. If you couldn't already tell, my collection mainly consists of lip products in berry and purple tones. I always find myself gravitating towards gorgeous, deep hues in lipstick aisles, so much so I think it's becoming a bit of a problem. I can't wait until I finish my Accutane treatment, I'll be sporting vampy/berry lips all summer.

As always, let's start from the lipstick closest to 12 o'clock; the pink-berry to the left of the very purple lipstick. The swatches in the two images aren't quite true to life as I couldn't get the editing or lighting right, my apologies.
Sportsgirl Pout About It in Berrylicious
Berrylicious is bright pink-berry toned lipstick that is a wonderful shade all year round. I haven't worn this enough to comment on staying power and wearability.
Sportsgirl Pout About It in Enchanted
I fell in love with the colour when I first saw it; it's a gorgeous purple that leans towards blue in the tube and did swatch well.
However, after I tested it on a model the purple just faded into a pretty pink stain in about an hour. Same thing happened to me. Needless to say I was very very disappointed, but I guess it just didn't work with my skin chemistry. Enchanted is also the driest and waxiest of all my Sportsgirl lipsticks, even when I didn't have dry lips and that made it very uncomfortable to wear. So I guess, this will be going into the trash bin.
Revlon Matte Balm in Shameless
Shameless actually looks like a much more promising pure? purple for me to wear. So far I've only swatched it so I'm excited to try this out late.
Revlon Balm Stain in Crush
I hunted high and low for Crush for some reason, my local stores just didn't have it in stock or it was always sold out. For good reason too. This gives such a wonderful MLBB berry tone for me and I would always wear it to law classes because it just made me feel better.
Revlon Balm Stain in Smitten
I'm pretty sure this was my first Balm Stain, although I rarely wear it nowadays because it just looks so pink on me. Like a strawberry pink, with I'm not entirely a fan of,
Topshop Sheer Lip in Chuck
I LOVE Chuck. This recent purchase has made it's way to being a staple in my bags. I'm so impressed with it it has even pushed my beloved Revlon Lip Butters to the side for a moment. I contribute that to the fact that I don't have any Lip Butters in berry colours; that and this is so very moisturising with a great colour tint. I will definitely be trying out some from the Topshop line later on.
Topshop Lipstick in The Damned
Figures that my my other Topshop lip purchase would also be in a berry hue - although The Damned is more of a purple/pink which is surprisingly wearable.
Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie in Live Large
Speaking of firsts, my first Bare Minerals lipstick is also a berry lip. Live Large is an attractive dark strawberry shade, very opaque and comfortable. The packing is also the favourite out of all my lip products.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry (creme)
I adore Black Cherry. I purchased this earlier in the year when the Marchesa Collection from Revlon released some pretty things. This leaves a creamy wash of blackcurrant stain on the lips which does settle into lines without a lip liner and will be slippery to apply. But I still love the shade, so I'm willing to put in the extra work for long wearing and vampy lips.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plumalicious (pearl)
I haven't used this yet, and I'm hesitant to as I don't really like glitters - however small - in my lip products. I have heard good reviews on this though so I'll give it a try soon.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wine with Everything (creme)
This is such a classy colour. Sexy smolder in a tube.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow (creme)
Cherries in the Snow is a classic shade of bright fuchsia with a hint of pink berries when applied to my already pigmented lips. Despite not being a great wearer of lipsticks in the brighter spectrum, I really like this one - and the name is so pretty.
Australis Go Long Wear lipstick in Ghetto
I wore this for a while when my lips weren't so dry. I love the formula of these matte lipsticks and they are incredibly long lasting. The colour is a deep nude crossed with brick and berries. Love it.
Australis Go Long Wear lipstick in Uber Cool
This is quite a cool toned dark-pastel-purple if that makes sense. I find this washes me out a little, but it's a cool hue nonetheless.
Australis Colour Inject Moisturising Mineral Lipstick in Grunge
This is almost an exact dupe of Revlon's Black Cherry and was limited edition I think. As with Black Cherry, I love it too.
Until next time folks! xx
