The other day I killed some spare time at The Face Shop (rather than finish my assignments). It was a little detour from my usual hang out spots - Mecca Maxima, David Jones and Priceline - but I'm glad I decided to browse through the tiny store because now my universe has expanded to Asian beauty products. Not that it hadn't before, I just never really paid attention to these things.
Like I said, this place was so small that it consisted of only a few pleasantly displayed shelves and a centre block. However, I probably spent about a full half hour perusing all the knick knacks and cool Asian products on offer. Needless to say, I had to walk out with some things as not only were they affordable, but filled in some gaps in my collection.

Because I didn't have enough moolah on my person I only spent a total of $14 ish - I can attribute that to the fact that I spent around $70 on clothing right before stopping by TFS. First thing that did catch my eye was the Lovely Me:X single eyeshadow in Blessing Pink (square packaged shadow). This is pretty much the perfect dupe for Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar's Nougat which is lovely but not nearly as pigmented as I would like. Blessing Pink is now my favourite lid/crease colour and it only cost me $5.60 (20% the original $7).
The other shadow I couldn't resist was the eponymous brand's matte shadow in PK01 (also $7). I love the look of MAC's Quarry and Haux yet haven't bitten the bullet to purchase them yet - not since I discovered Inglot and Burberry. Swatching this shadow in store I couldn't help but be reminded of the two so why not? I do not regret it one bit; this shadow is so darn pretty! Especially when used with Blessing Pink.
The last thing I got was a face mask - TFS's Real Nature Mask Mung Bean. I had no idea mung bean could be used as a skincare ingredient. Thinking back it's not so weird now because mum always uses mung bean and tells us it's good for skin.
I received a piece of soap as a sample, not entirely sure what kind of soap it is but I'll probably never use it. The store assistants were very friendly and helped me chose a few things, so expect another haul coming soon.
