I kind of feel like I haven't been trying as much this semester. Lately, I have been relatively not so stressed and focused as a law student should be and that may or may not be a good thing. I attribute my go-with-the-flow attitude to the fact that after trying so hard in highschool, I am finally starting to burn out and lose motivation. Writing and blogging does help, but maybe they're just really good distractions.
Anyway, because most uni students actually worry more about exams than their appearance, today's post will be focused on products that are essential for a quick and easy look that should last me through a three and a half hour exam.
Primer
One doesn't really need a primer, but for long lasting base, I would prefer to use one because I lean my face on my arms and hands a lot. Currently trying out Benefit's Porefessional.
Light Foundation/BB Cream
No one needs the feeling of heavy foundation when they're stressing on whether they should choose between negligent manslaughter or reckless murder. I will be using the Natio Flawless Full Coverage Foundation. Even though it claims to be full coverage, I find that this foundation gives more of a medium, satin finish. I love this as it is light and pretty much a perfect match for my skin tone, even the packaging is hygenic.
Setting Powder
As with the primer, you don't really need a setting powder, but it is useful to keep all the jazz on your face and not on the exam booklet. I love using Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder as it gives me an extra hint of luminous skin, which is always appreciated when I'm dead in the morning.
Eyeliner
I don't have a problem with rubbbing my eyes, but there are times where I tiredly swipe my lids. Therefore I find that applying a tiny amount of eyeliner is enough to stay on without smudging and open up my eyes. My holy grail is SAX Cosmetics Creme Eyeliner in Platinum.
Bronzer
Warming up your complexion can do wonders, especially if you don't naturally blush like me. No need to contour, just dust TopShop's Sandcastle on the outer rim of your face and you're no longer a zombie.
Lipbalm
I think I have found my new favourite lip balm. Lanolips Lip Ointment's may be a bit pricey, but the smooth, non-sticky texture, as well as the instant soothing of dehydrated lips make this product a dream to apply and use.
Good Luck in your exams!! xx
