I love to read. Reading is my recluse and my vice (yes, even more so than perfume and beauty products). To rest my mind and body, I generally always choose fiction in fantasy, thriller and/or drama genre's. At times I'll read National Geographic magazines mainly because we have a collection dating from 1968 - current and I like to keep up with the news through feeds on The Age, The Guardian and The Associated Press online. It also helps that my little brother likes to talk about everything so sometimes I don't even need read the news. He is that chatty. Websites such as thoughtcatalog.com and blogs are also on my daily reads list.
There is nothing better on a winter evening than curling up by the fireside which I built with a good book, preferably accompanied with some hot tea/hot chocolate/ actual chocolate. Tonights read: Sycamore Row by John Grisham.
Lana Del Rey and I have been having a torrid love affair for the past few years, probably one-sided on my part. I love her husky voice, depth and range included. She transports me to another age in which I wish I was born. Scratch that, not really, I like living in a comfortable home with family and little to no personally-decrepit issues. Nonetheless, Ms Del Rey is magnificent and I don't care if you care that I think she is when I shouldn't. Currently, listening to the whole of Ultraviolence for the seventh time.
On a side note: I am also relearning the piano, I don't think I've properly played since a few years ago and my fingers are getting rusty.
On the (rare) occasions that I do buckle down and get some studying done during the holidays, it is mainly in preparation for my next semester subjects. Those being criminal law, torts, origins of international politics and performance. Diverse, I know. If anybody has any tips on how to study for torts that would very much appreciated.
Night, all xoxo
