It's always nice to have something lovely, and this gorgeous bottle is by all means display worthy. While I have never been a fan of Nicole Richie herself especially during her 'Paris Hilton BFF' phase, I seriously admire her bohemian chic style. A long time goal of mine is to achieve some savvy boho style a la Camilla or Mamie Ruth, but that is yet to fully develop as Melbournian winters can pretty limiting, and good quality garments are ridiculously expensive - I'd rather spend money on makeup, you see.
This hefty glass bottle holds 100 ml of the fragrance with a cute plastic top which nicely wraps up the entire bottle. I love having this out on display as it truly adds a touch of abstract class to my otherwise boring room. It doesn't hurt that it matches very well with a lovely vase we have.
I got this on sale at Priceline about a year or so ago for $29 at a discount from $89 which is a darn good deal if I don't say so myself. However the other day I saw a gift set for sale for $29 with the 100 ml bottle, a roller ball version and two creams I think, it would make a fantastic present.
On the perfume itself - I absolutely adore this. It has been my most worn and most loved perfume for a year or so now and shows no sign of running out anytime soon, which is always great to know.
Nicole EDP definitely has woody, amber and patchouli accords; although it claims to have a citrus and blackcurrant opening which I can barely detect. On my skin it is a wonderful blend of sandalwood wrapped in cashmere and patchouli, which are then layered with light floral essences and sprinkled with a hint of vanilla. I cannot fault the scent as it is phenomenal on clothing and on skin. The only ticks I have with Nicole EDP is the fact that it does not last very long when sprayed on skin. Spray it on clothing for a better all day wear.
This perfume is warm and welcoming, without being too heavy as it is light enough for everyday spring/summer wear. I highly recommend for those who love art deco, unusual packaging with a penchant for bohemian flares.
